Gas Lighter - for spark and fire

Online shopping is opening up a new shopping experience as never before for more and more Indians today. From a few online shopping agencies, we have moved into the era of scores of big players. There is much more choice now, and much more competition. And the indications are that some more big players will enter the fray soon. But the buyer has to learn the ropes to benefit the most from online buying.
A wide price range
Consider buying a simple kitchen tool like the gas lighter online. Scores of online agencies make available a hundred varieties of gas lighters each. The price ranges from about Rs100 to over Rs1000.  They specify their delivery period and the delivery charges. Some promise a free delivery. Every shop claims that it is giving you the best for your money.

There are more incentives. You get a free knife with some, a torch with another and battery cells with the third. But one has to sift through the innumerable offers and evaluate them properly before deciding on the choice of the gas lighter online.
Use it and forget it
Just imagine how convenient a tool like the gas lighter is. The observation, use, initiating, control and maintenance of fire were the first steps of the humankind towards a more comfortable kitchen activity from our jungle days. From those days of struggle for survival, we have traveled a long way. Maintenance of fire is no problem now, nor its control. The initiation of fire is a simple job. Just push the button of your gas lighter holding the part where the spark is produced near the combustible gas flow zone. And the gas coming out of the burner produces a nice flame.
The gas lighter has become an important tool of everyday use. Whether it is for a quick cup of coffee or preparing something that will need some cooking, the gas lighter gets the fire on nice and smooth. We don’t know how the lighter does it, or what is there inside the lighter. We happily push one end of the lighter, find that our job is done and quickly forget the gas lighter.
The better lot
The gas lighter exploits the piezo-electric effect to produce an electric spark that ignites the gas coming out from the stove burner. Pressure along the mechanical axis of certain crystals creates a potential difference along its electrical axis. Tourmaline and quartz have such quality. These piezo-electric crystals are used in gas lighters. The voltage as high as 800 volts is generated. It is applied to the zone where the combustible gas is flowing.  The high voltage produces a spark, which initiates the combustion. Gas lighters use cheap and sensitive lead zirconate titanate to produce the piezo-electric effect.
So many science and technology steps go into the making of the gas lighter. But we have to focus on choosing the best. Among the better and more popular brands are Anjali, Celltone, Mastrad and Tescoma.
