Tricolour rice- an exclusive Indian recipe

•    Rice ¼ cup

•    Saffron powder
•    Chilli powder
•    Salt
•    Oil
•    Paste of ginger and garlic

First of all, sauté garlic and ginger paste in oil and add saffron powder, chilli powder, and salt and carrot juice to it and cook until the mixture turns golden brown. Now add ½ glass of water with ¼ cup of rice and cook it for around fifteen minutes. 


Green rice preparation

•    ¼ cup rice
•    Coriander leaves- 200gm
•    Green chillies
•    Ginger
•    Garlic
•    Onion
•    Salt

Grind all the ingredients except rice finely. Now heat oil in a pan and sauté all the ground ingredients until golden brown colour appears and then add salt and garam masala. Add rice along with ½ cup of water and cook for fifteen minutes.

•    White rice preparation
•    Ginger garlic paste
•    A big onion
•    Cardamoms-2
•    Cloves -2
•    Cinnamon stick- one inch
•    Salt to taste

Now sauté onion and ginger garlic paste in oil. Once it turns brown, add cloves, cardamoms and cinnamon stick. Add rice and water and cook it for fifteen minutes.

Once you have all the three rice prepared, arrange them in a big plate with green rice as the bottom layer, white rice in the middle and orange rice on the top and garnish them with dry fruits. This can be served hot with raita, yoghurt or any other vegetable curry.
